Best/Bad Book Covers #3

It's time for Best/Bad Book Covers 3: Tokyo Drift! B3-C3 as they say on the street. You know, like that robot from Star Wars.

Yeah. That's the one.
We've had Nazi gnomes. We've had bird-headed spacemen. What could possibly be in store this time? Find out, after the jump.

Oh. Looks like it's bird-headed spacemen again.

You'll note that this is another Andre Norton book, published by Ace Books. So either Andre or someone in Ace Book's Art Department had some sort of weird fetish for bird/man hybrids.

And who could blame them?
Unfortunately, I haven't read this one yet. Andre Norton is a good writer, and the book has good reviews on Amazon, so I'm sure this is a good book despite the cover.

Based on the description of the book, Witch World is a sci-fi and fantasy mash-up where magic and ray guns go hand in hand. And if you had to choose a way to visually depict that would you choose:

A) Men in space suits with swords and shields

B) Men in medieval armor with laser guns and robots

C) Men in giant bird suits holding a blow dryer.

Actually, now that I see it spelled out like that, I would have gone with C as well. Nicely played, weirdo editor at Ace Books with a bird fetish.

Nicely played.
